Throop Borough is expanding their Recycling Program. Corrugated cardboard is added to our collection and will be collected at the same time as the newspapers and commingled. 1st and 3rd wards are collected on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. 2nd and 4th wards are collected on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. Corrugated cardboard should be flattened and placed beneath the recycling containers. Office paper and shredded paper is added to our collection and will be borough wide 2nd and 4th Monday. The officer paper/shredded paper must be in a separate recycling container. Recycling containers are available at the Throop Municipal Building weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no recycling collection on the 5th Monday or Tuesday. Throop Borough residents and businesses are required to recycle. Throop Borough received a PADEP Recycling Program Grant in the amount of $166,275.00 for collection equipment and public education.
